GREEN BAY, WIS. – TheAmerican Heart Association, in conjunction with its My Heart. My Life. initiative, has recognized KI corporate as a Gold Fit-FriendlyWorksite. The award honors KI for making the health and wellness of itsemployees a priority and serves as a catalyst for positive change in theworkplace across America.

As a Gold level recipient, KI was recognized for:

• Increasing the number of healthy eating options available at the worksite. KI enforces policies that require its cafeteria to offer healthychoices and general nutrition information. Its cafeteria and vending machines serveand provide items approved by a dietician and nurse.
• Promoting a wellness culture at the worksite. KI offers employees incentives and reimbursements for participating invarious wellness programs that increase physical activity. In addition, KIoffers employees annual health risk assessments and provides an on-site nurse,physical therapy, dietician (as needed) and health-coaching programs.
• Embracing criteria as outlined by the American Heart Association in theareas of physical activity, nutrition and culture. KI promotes a culture of health and wellness throughout theorganization and is a smoke-free employer.
